A serious post about serious.

I weigh in on real-world issues only rarely, but this is some media controversy that really struck me in a special place.

…Some people are understandably offended by such radical sentiments as these, but I can see where she’s coming from: you have all these women putting their lives on the line for America, only to turn around and complain about being “raped too much.” What’s next, they’ll ask not to be raped at all? What kind of spineless hippie country did they think they were protecting, Alaska?

It’s easy to presume that Liz speaks from positively zero experience with reality as we comprehend it, but whatever happened to respecting our elder things? I’m sure she’s seen it all in her 616 years of wearing a woman’s skin.

Before you make such a cruel mockery of her (shame on you, Jon Stewart) try putting yourself in her hooves. It’s hard for a squelching mass of lesions in a wrinkly meat-suit to make it so far in the world of Journalism with nothing but their accidental approximation of a conscious entity.

Am I being too subtle?

Truth be told, I’m amazed there isn’t far more outrage over this person’s statements. I’m guessing it slipped by a lot of people who mistook her words for gases leaking out of a decomposing ham.
