is there an over arching reason for your general dislike of Pixar?

Not especially, though overall, Pixar films are worse at representing women than Disney movies, and just as bad at representing minorities when humans are involved. People give Pixar such a massive pass on things they usually call out in other movies, and they act like Pixar has THE BEST writing, emotion and characterization of all time, when that’s all pretty average at best.

I also find most of their character designs to be tacky, uncanny or just very, very bland.

I did love Wall-E, though people have rightfully criticized the fat jokes.

I liked Finding Nemo and have no major complaints about it.

The first Toy Story was really new and different at the time and I loved Sid’s mutant toys.

Toy Story 3 had some memorably funny moments but didn’t wow me.

Everything else ranges from an “ehh” out of me (Monsters Inc, Ratatouille, Bug’s Life) to an “Ugh” (The Incredibles, Up)
